So it turns out http://www.animegalleries.net/albums/userpics/28938/girls52.jpeg is not Ritsuka from Loveless. I was skimming http://www.portalgraphics.net/oc/ja/pages/ranking.asp?reqMode=rankPoint&reqType=day for an unrelated purpose when I stumbled upon http://web.archive.org/web/20040426125505/http://www.portalgraphics.net/oc/ja/pages/userInfo.asp?reqUserID=4107. Clicking on what looks just like the image in question takes you to http://web.archive.org/web/20040531125121/http://www.portalgraphics.net/oc/ja/pages/portrait_info.asp?reqImageID=19666, showing it is an original character.

So it turns out http://omc.terranetz.jp/sample/0853default02.jpg belongs to a 小雀 (Kogara). I found this pretty much by accident and was able to verify it with http://cincia.nido.jp/illust_04.html (Do be wary when checking out the rest of that site). Still, this is somewhat baffling. The site is live as of this writing, and there is no robots.txt, so why didn't Google or any image search engine ever pick this up?

This actually happened the same day as the last journal entry: I found the origin of that cat girl image. Go figure. What happened was I Googled the "水紗姫" bit while keeping the "Kingdom of Chaos" angle in mind and came across this blog. It had the name and the green-haired image from the last post, and more importantly, a name. "Icon-Copylight:かや". I figured this "かや" was somewhere along the long list of links, and thanks to Wayback Machine, I found this, the smoking gun. Among the gallery up top was this image, which had a matching artstyle, including very similar skin tones, and tongue color
